unser hafen liegt an der ostseite der insel, und man liegt sehr geschützt vor dem seegang aus nordwest, aber der Mistral bläst trotzdem so doll über die insel hinweg, dass alle schiffe schief an den kais liegen. zwei tage später hat der wind dann soweit nachgelassen, dass wir uns sorglos auf den weg machen können. unser nächstes grosses ziel heisst Barcelona! der wind aus westen zwingt uns den ganzen tag zu kreuzen, weshalb wir nicht wirklich weit kommen. aber egal, dafür hat uns ein anderes ereignis heute erfreut: ich habe irgendwann etwas dicht unter der wasseroberfläche treiben sehen, und dachte erst, es wäre eine plastiktüte. als wir dem ding näher kamen, hab ich dann erkannt, dass es ein mondfisch ist! diese merkwürdigen, eher unfischigen wesen, die, wenn sie so an der wasseroberfläche treiben, aussehen, als wäre der mond hineingefallen. seitdem schaue ich bei jeder plastiktüte die im wasser treibt besonders gut hin, man weiss nie zu was sie sich noch entpuppt! der nächste segeltag war etwas aufregender als die bisherigen. wir sind ziemlich früh aufgebrochen und die ersten stunden bei wenig wind und glatter see unter motor gefahren. im laufe des tages frischte der wind auf, bis er irgendwann windstärke 5-6 mit böen bis 7 erreicht hat. dazu hat er irgendwann von süd-ost auf süd gedreht, und wir sind mit halbem wind, dem optimalsten segelwind, unserem ziel nähergesaust. die immer grösser werdenden wellen kamen von schräg hinten, so dass sie uns zusätzlich angeschoben haben. oft sind wir die wellen geradezu runtergesurft, bei einer geschwindigkeit von sagenhaften 7-8 knoten! das dürfte so etwa unsere rumpfgeschwindigkeit sein, das heisst, die höchste, die das schiff erreichen kann. als ich dann allerdings mal einen blick nach hinten gewagt habe, wurde mir etwas mulmig zumute, da kamen dicke schwarze wolken näher, die sich ins meer ergossen und schon wie mit ihm verschmolzen schienen. das ganze licht änderte sich; es wurde düster und eine unheimliche stimmung machte sich breit. die wellen, die hinter uns angerauscht kamen, wurden immer schwärzer und sahen furchterregend aus mit ihren weissen schaumkronen. zu der zeit überquerten wir gerade einen golf und es war weit und breit kein land in sicht, was unsere nerven noch ein bisschen mehr kitzelte. in einer mischung aus faszination aber auch ein bisschen unsicherheit versuchten wir das bestmögliche aus unserem boot rauszuholen. in unserem geschwindigkeitsrausch hofften wir einfach, dem unwetter davonfahren zu können... es hat dann tatsächlich geklappt, die dicksten wolken sind hinter uns vorbeigezogen und eine gute stunde später war auch endlich land und unser hafen für heute nacht in sicht! aber wir haben uns zu früh gefreut, in dem moment, in dem wir unsere segel eingeholt haben, hat uns doch noch ein ziemlich heftiger platzregen erwischt. da die segel das boot nicht mehr stabilisiert haben und die wellen auch nicht merklich kleiner wurden, wurden wir übel hin- und hergeworfen und waren trotz regenkleidung danach bis auf die haut nass. während des schauers war es undekbar, in den hafen einzufahren, weil wir absolut nichts sehen konnten. auch als alles vorrüber war, erwies sich die einfahrt als nicht leicht und auch nicht ganz ungefährlich. die wellen waren so steil und sehr hoch, so dass sich alle paar sekunden die wassertiefe in der sehr schmalen einfahrt um bestimmt 2 meter verringerte und die betonblöcke der schräg abfallenden wellenbrecher-dämme zum vorschein kamen und damit auch noch die passage trichterförmig verkleinert wurde. uns ist fast das herz in die hose gerutscht, aber wir haben es dann irgendwie geschafft und wurden mit einem wunderschönen regenbogen belohnt.
