donnerstag, 17. mai: wir stehen früh auf um noch ein paar vorkehrungen zu treffen, schliesslich wollen wir am nachsten tag so schnell wie möglich aufs meer! dann passiert ein kleines drama: als Anne den ölfilter des motors wechselt, bricht beim schliessen des behälters die schraube ab! ohne motor können wir weder schleusen, noch in irgendwelche häfen manövrieren.die folgende geschichte müsste wohl eigentlich Anne schreiben, aber ich werde versuchen sie originalgetreu wiederzugeben: das problem ist, dass die ölfilterschraube eine ganz besondere schraube ist, in der sich eine steigleitung befindet, was sie auch ein bisschen instabil macht. für unseren motor. einen alten mercedes 200 D, ist es nicht ganz einfach in Port Saint Luis ersatzteile zu finden. Alex und Anne machen sich, nachdem der erste schock vorüber war auf den weg, auf der suche nach einer werkstatt oder einer anderen lösung. keine der werkstätten im ort kann ihnen weiterhelfen, und so begeben sie sich in die nächste seemannskneipe um dort rat einzuholen. der nette barinhaber Vivi erzählt, dass er jemanden kennt, der die schraube eventuell löten könnte, ausserdem würde er uns, wenn alle stricke reissen, am nächsten morgen mit seinem motorboot zum hafen schleppen, damit wir wenigstens schonmal den mast stellen können. noch dazu kennt er eine frau, die einen alten mercedes hat, und falls ihre schraube die gleiche sein sollte, wie die, die wir brauchen, könnte man ja fragen, ob sie bereit wäre, sie uns zu leihen. wir würden dann eine neue nach Marseille bestellen und ihr diese zuschicken. klingt alles bisschen abenteuerlich, und Anne und Alex suchen erstmal den typ auf, der die schraube löten kann. sie finden ihn und er bietet tatsächlich an, die schraube heute noch -an einem feiertag- zu löten. nach ein paar stunden kommt er mit heiler schraube auf unser boot. überglücklich und zutiefst dankbar befestigen wir feierlich den ölfilterdeckel und starten den motor. schon nach ein paar sekunden hebt der deckel ab und eine ölfontäne kommt uns entgegen. das begeisterte "aaah!" wandelt sich schnell in ein enttäuschtes und verzweifeltes "oooohh..". Anne telefoniert durch die gegend und findet nur heraus, dass man diese schraube bei mercedes in Frankreich nirgends bekommen kann. (viel später finden wir heraus, dass sie auch in Deutschland nicht neu erhältlich ist). also gehen wir alle in die bar, betrinken uns mit Vivi und machen lose ein date für morgen zum schleppen aus. am nächsten morgen, vor dem termin, will Anne aber noch zu einem schrotthändler am anderen ende der stadt, von dem sie telefonisch erfahren hat, dass er einen kompletten ölfilter für einen mercedes zu verkaufen hat. sie und Börni machen sich auf den weg dorthin um herauszufinden ob dieser filter mit unserem motor kompatibel ist. nach einigen stunden kommen sie mit einem leuchten in den augen zurück. sie erzählen, dass der filter nicht gepasst hat, aber auf dem rückweg kamen sie an einem parkplatz vorbei, auf dem wieder ein alter benz stand. sie wollten nochmal den filter anschauen, um die seriennummer mit unserer zu vergleichen. viellecht ist das bei den anfragen bei mercedes ja das problem gewesen. als sie da so rumstehen und sich überlegen, ob man wirklich bei einem wildfremden auto im motor rumwühlen kann, offnet sich plötzlich eine tür hinter ihnen und ein verwegener langhaariger kerl steht da. sie kommen ins gespräch und erfahren, dass silvan, so heisst der typ, in einer bühnenbildwerkstatt arbeitet, vor der sie gerade stehen. nach langem hin und her und erläutern unserer misslichen lage, bietet silvan-der selber in einem hausboot wohnt-ihnen an noch einen versuch zu starten um die schraube zu reparieren. wir sollen am abend nochmal vorbeikommen, wenn wir keine andere lösung gefunden haben. wir haben keine gefunden und machen uns zu viert mit ein paar flaschen wein auf den weg zu der werkstatt. es arbeiten lauter nette alternative leute hier, die keine lust auf grosse städte haben und sich hier in dem kleinen nest Port Saint Luis eine gutgehende theater- und bühnenbildwerkstatt aufgebaut haben. Anne und ich warten an der gemütlichen bar, während Alex und Börni Silvan beim schleifen, löten und bohren gesellschafft leisten. wir und auch die männer werden zwischendurch reichlich mit tapas und alkohol versorgt. alls Alex, Börni und Silvan nach 3 stunden immer noch nicht in der bar erscheinen, sind Anne und ich uns sicher, dass da irgendwas nicht geklappt hat. in dem moment geht die tür auf und die 3 tauchen auf, Börni grinsend mit 2 schrauben in der hand. sie erzählen, dass der erste versuch tatsächlich misslungen ist, aber Silvan war so voller tatendrang, dass er danach mit seinen tollen und teuren maschinen einfach die komplette schraube nochmal angefertigt hat. darauf feiern wir mit den leuten erstmal bis spät in die nacht. am nächsten morgen kommt die grosse überraschung und erleichterung: die schraube passt! und die reise geht weiter.....
