noch zwei tage stecken wir unsere köpfe mit den Tschechen zusammen und haben noch einigen spass, bis sie aus zeitmangel beschliessen zurück nach Trinidad zu fahren. von ungeduld getrieben, fahren wir zu Eloy, dem ersten Warao den wir in dem fluss getroffen haben, um bei der anfertigung meines einbaums (Curiaras) zuzusehen, den ich mir bei ihm bestellt hatte. natürlich wurde er nicht neu angefertigt und war auch viel zu gross, um ihn an deck zu hieven und damit noch vernünftig segeln zu können, aber immerhin war er da. und er ist wunderschön. wir haben ihn dann für die hälfte des ausgemachten preises gekriegt, für 100 us-dollar und ein paar t-shirts. das paddeln macht riesigen spass, es gibt unzählige schmale seitenarme die direkt in den Dschungel führen. wir sehen bei unseren ausflügen mit dem Curiara brüll,- und kapuzineraffen, papageien, riesige waruwarus (schmetterling auf warao), taranteln, fischen Piranhas und paddeln an den boas, pumas, tiegern, capiwaras und was da sonst noch so rumläuft ungesehen vorbei. wir kommen uns vor wie adam, börni und eva.
nach 5 wochen versuchen wir mit mühe, uns an den geschmack karibischen bieres zu erinnern, und stellen fest, daß selbst die beste erinnerung nicht an die realität heranreicht. daher quetschen wir den einbaum irgendwie an deck (ich bringe es noch nicht fertig ihn zurückzulassen) und segeln mehr schlecht als recht zurück nach Trinidad. mal sehen ob wir jemals wieder in dieses schöne land kommen, in dem auf jeden mann sieben frauen kommen und 200 liter diesel nur 1,60 euro kosten.
