wir wollen nach Menorca, ein fleckchen erde aus der inselgruppe der MALLE-diven.

als erstes wasser- und dieseltanks voll machen, und dann fahrn fahrn fahrn. mal ein paar zahlen : für 250 seemeilen direkten weg von Cannegione nach Mahon haben wir in 72 stunden 297 seemeilen im zickzack durch das Mittelmeer zurückgelegt. relativ wenig umweg wenn man bedenkt, dass wir recht oft gegen den wind an kreuzen mußten.

recht viel mehr gäbe es von dieser überfahrt eigentlich auch nicht zu erzählen, und wir haben aus verzweiflung schon fotos von unseren gelungenen spaghetti gemacht, damit wir euch von den highlights der fahrt berichten können. aber da passierte dann doch noch was: am letzten tag unserer fahrt ist doch tatsächlich ein 85 cm langer thunfisch so dumm gewesen, in den mit einem plastikpolypen verzierten angelhaken zu beißen, den wir hinter uns hergeschleppt haben. es war das erste mal, daß wir einen fisch während der fahrt gefangen haben. wir haben schon nicht mehr daran geglaubt, daß es wirklich funktioniert. aber das ganze war nicht nur für uns ein atemberaubendes erlebnis, denn auch ein HAI fand dieses spektakel hochinteressant. entweder war ihm einfach nur wahnsinnig langweilig, oder er dachte, daß er vielleicht einen happen abbekommt. jedenfalls hat er sich den kampf ’thunfisch gegen haken’ aus nächster nähe angeschaut, und ist immer wieder aus den unergründlichen tiefen des meeres in unser blickfeld geraten. wir hätten sogar unser abendessen für einen kampf ’thunfisch am haken gegen hungrigen hai’ eingetauscht und vielleicht am schluss sogar den hai an der angel gehabt. denn wie ja jeder weiss, mit grossen fischen fängt man noch grössere. aber der hai hat sich rechtzeitig an ein besseres klima irgendwoanders erinnert und ist ohne noch für ein foto zu posieren von dannen gezogen. ich weiss leider nicht seinen vollständigen namen weil ich in Latein nie sonderlich gut war. aber was ich weiß ist, daß er irgendwas zwischen 1,50 und 2 metern lang war, tolle kühlrippen links und rechts vom nacken hatte, und daß ich nicht mehr auf offenem meer ins wasser gehe. glaub ich zumindest.

wie dem auch sei, wir sind gut eines donnerstags morgen in dem ’fjord’ von Mahon auf Menorca angekommen, und nicht eine minute zu früh. in der folgenden nacht kamen erste starkwindböen die den ganzen nächsten tag angedauert haben, und vergeblich an unserem anker zerrten.

wenn ihr gute thunfischrezepte habt, dann schreibt doch mal. es ist nicht einfach sich tagelang mit dem besten vom besten vollzustopfen, und dabei kreativ zu bleiben!
