tobago ist klein und süss, genau wie die schildkröten, rochen und friedlichen haie, die das riff neben uns bewohnen. an land sind auch alle ganz lieb und friedlich, stehen auf schnittige flammenmotive an ihren autos und auf riesige lautsprecher, nicht nur in den autos sondern am besten ueberall. so hört sich zum beispiel ein kleiner cd- und kassettenstand an der strassenecke von weitem wie ein 3 tage dauerndes reaggefestival an. natürlich geht es auch hier nicht ohne landsleute. gleich am ersten weihnachtsfeiertag werden wir auf ein nachbarschiff zu dampfnudeln mit vanillesosse und punsch eingeladen.. ein paar tage später holen uns Tony und Joe mit ihrem hund Lucky zum grillen ab. wir fahren nach nomansland, eine landzunge vor einer lagune mit wunderschönem einsamen strand unter sehr dekorativen palmen und mit mangroven im hintergrund. da geraten wir dann in eine dionysische geburtstagsparty einer grossen gruppe einheimischer, und werden nach allen regeln der kunst abgefüllt.

natürlich wollten wir noch mehr von der insel sehen als die strände und riffe, deshalb haben wir uns für 3 tage einen roller gemietet und sind losgedüst. regenwald, einsame buchten, dörfer auf pfählen mitten im dschungel, knallbunt angemalte hütten, vögel, fische und blumen, erfrischende wasserfälle und noch vieles mehr haben wir gesehen. einmal haben wir in charlotteville, einem kleinen fischerdorf an der piratenbucht übernachtet und am nächsten und letzten rollertag hatten wir dann natürlich noch eine panne. war aber halb so schlimm, der mann mit den rollern hat uns nach nur 5 stündigem warten einen ersatzgefährt vorbeigebracht und es konnte weitergehen. .
ist auf jedenfall mal gut angegangen hier in der karibik, es lässt nicht nur keine wünsche offen sondern auf noch mehr hoffen....
